Let’s be real everybody already knows it’s there

One of the funniest things about running Blokes Base in Croatia is watching new guests arrive and slowly figure out just how relaxed locals are about bodies and nudity. Men come here from all over wearing speedos or nothing at all and spend their first day tiptoeing around like it’s some big secret. Meanwhile the local guys are striding along the beach, chest out, cock and balls fully visible under tight swim briefs, completely unbothered.
It’s not that the locals are sex-obsessed or trying to show off It’s just that to them a body is a body. Bulges, erections, nipples, or hairy balls are simply part of life. You notice them, maybe you appreciate them, and then everyone gets on with enjoying the sun, the water, and the wine. There’s no shame in being seen, no fear that anyone is out to judge you.
Watching our guests gradually shed their hesitation is one of the best parts of hosting. The first shower after arriving might be with towels clutched nervously across hips. By nightfall, they’re in nothing but a speedo, leaning back in a sun lounger, a beer in one hand, perfectly at ease as their bulge makes a casual cameo. By the second day some are strolling down to the beach completely naked, laughing at how ridiculous they were on arrival, surprised at how easy it is to just be naked without it meaning anything.
At Blokes Base we celebrate that freedom. We love speedos, we love the body, and we love how our guests learn to let go of the old insecurities they’ve carried around for years. Big bulge, small bulge, smooth, hairy, tucked or swinging it’s all there to be enjoyed and nobody cares. That’s the Croatian way. That’s the Blokes way.
Being naked or in a thin speedo isn’t about shocking anyone or putting yourself on display. It’s about owning your body feeling proud of it and watching as others do the same. It’s a lesson in letting go of fear and enjoying the simple thrill of seeing a man bulge freely in the sun or in the shower and knowing that everybody already sees it and nobody cares.
